CIoB duo go by 'mutual consent'

The managing director and a director of the Chartered Institute of Building's (CIoB) commercial arm have left the company "by mutual consent," it was confirmed this week.

It had been alleged that Julian Barlow, MD of Englemere Limited - and director, Nichola Winter, had been suspended at the beginning of July (see CJ, 21 July).

Now CIoB chief executive Keith Banbury has confirmed that the action was taken.

"It is true that both Julian and Nicola left by mutual consent last week," he said. "We are looking to replace Julian but have no plans to find a replacement for Nichola for the time being."
