Ultrastore uses peri's platforms
Ultrastore is using a combination of Peri's Domino lightweight
panel formwork and FB 180/3 platforms, to construct eight huge
sequence-batch reactor tanks as part of Yorkshire Water's
£200million sewage modernisation scheme being undertaken by
Kvaerner Water. Due to site restrictions the concrete formwork had
to be lightweight and flexible so Peri's Rundflex and GRV systems
were chosen. Each tank is 10.7m high with an internal diameter of
40.2m.
econ produces largest hotbox
Econ Engineering, a manufacturer of multi-purpose highway
maintenance equipment, has produced its largest-ever hotbox for ND
Brown. "Our latest models take full advantage of increases in gross
vehicle weight for this type of vehicle to 26t and they are now
among the largest mobile hotboxes available with a 15t payload,"
said Andrew Lupton sales manager at Econ Engineering. "This a twin
compartment model with our familiar V-shape design which means
there is the narrowest possible air gap. This allows the correct
temperature to be maintained throughout the working day with
reduced running costs." The latest hotbox is currently on hire to
Dewsbury Civil Engineering.
