Amec starts £10.5m D&B in Manchester
Amec is undertaking a £10.5 million contract to design and
build a new office building for law firm Eversheds in Great
Bridgewater Street, Manchester.
The new 11,600m2 building is being constructed on the former
Havelock Mills site. Amec's contract includes the design,
construction and fitting out of the project.
The building will have seven storeys with two underground. The
frame will be of reinforced concrete with brickwork cladding,
stone-faced curtain walling and aluminium-framed thermal double
glazing.
The office will be fitted out with air-conditioning, IT and
communications services and an atrium with wall climber lifts and
basement car parking. Completion is due in January 2001.
