Price named chief exec of Confederation
Jennie Price is to take over as chief executive of the Construction
Confederation. Price is currently the director of the Major
Contractors Group and will replace retiring Ian Deslandes later
this year.
Before joining the MCG, she was director of legal and public
affairs at the Building Employers Confederation - the forerunner to
the Construction Confederation. Prior to that, Price studied law at
King's College, London, and qualified as a barrister.
Clive Benfield, chairman of the Confederation said that Price, 39,
"beat a number of impressive outside candidates for the post." He
added: "I am confident she will make an outstanding contribution to
the Confederation and the wider industry."
No comment is being made as to her replacement at the MCG or
whether Price will overlap with Deslandes before he retires as
chief executive later this year.
