McLean awaits hotel start
Contractor David McLean will find out next month whether its
proposal to build a Holiday Inn in Wales is to be given the green
light. The firm has applied for a £1.2m grant, but will not
know if the project in Wrexham can go ahead until the Welsh Tourist
Board meets on 1 May.
A planning application has already been submitted for an
84-bedroomed hotel and health club, which will offer business and
leisure facilities, as well as a restaurant, bar and banqueting
suites.
If permission is granted, building work would start at the end of
the year and take 12 months.
