Big response to Treasury guides
by Kathy Watson
The Treasury has extended the consultation period for its draft
procurement guides seven to nine by almost three weeks to the end
of April because of the huge response.
Guide author Charles Botsford said he was staggered with the
response: "People have realised the importance of these documents
and want to circulate it throughout their organisations."
The guides, which cover whole life costs, project evaluation and
feedback and benchmarking, were launched last month. They carried
the warning on each page that the final documents may bear little
resemblance to the drafts (see page 8).
Copies of the drafts are still available from the Treasury.
