BOXTEXT: BOVISlend lease gets irish deal
Bovis Lend Lease has been awarded a £3.75m construction
management shell and core contract by BG Property Holdings to build
an operations and control centre in Northern Ireland.
alfred mcalpine wins hospital improvements
Alfred McApline has won a £4.6m, 36-week infrastructure
improvements contract for Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital.
The Warrington-based firm will be constructing a new energy centre
to house new generating equipment and controls for the Hospital's
mechanical and electrical installation as well as other
refurbishments.
Bullock awarded £3.6m contract
Bullock Construction has secured a £3.6m contract to convert
the former Birmingham Eye Hospital, vacant since 1996, into a
66-bedroom hotel for the Alternative Hotel Company. Work will start
in May and finish in spring 2001.
kvaerner to modify hamburg refinery
Kvaerner, the Anglo-Norwegian engineering and construction Group,
has won a £44.6m contract to modify a refinery in Hamburg,
Germany, in line with European union directives on auto
fuels.
ibex to start £4.3m refurb deal
Ibex Interiors is set to start on a £4.3m refurbishment on the
20th, 21st and 22nd floors of the 36-storey City Point tower in
Moorgate, EC2 for US lawyers Simpson Thacher Bartlett.
north midland wins water deals
Nottinghamshire-based civil engineering and building company North
Midland Construction has won two contracts with Yorkshire Water.
The first involves modifications to existing filters and building
an odour control plant. The second is to build foundations and
carry out groundwork to a mechanical works north of Doncaster. The
combined value of the contracts is approximately £1m.
