Partnerships lead to success for Morrison

In Development Partnerships, Morrison is focused on building partnerships with end users and funding partners, and is increasingly participating in ownership. It is involved in commercial development with the Bank of Scotland; serviced offices with Gainsborough; in a strategic alliance with Cala; and undertaking PFI with Edison Capital.

Construction will provide at least £100m of turnover annually for the next three years to its long-term customers with whom it has a strategic alliance. Both Yorkshire Water and Welsh Water have outsourced part of their construction to Morrison for a five-year period.

The fastest growing area of Morrison's business is asset management, having doubled its involvement over the past two years. The market is twice as big as the construction market, said Sir Fraser.
