Memorial date set for Mr JCB

A memorial service is to be held for Joseph Cyril Bamford on 23 October at the Brompton Oratory in London.

The service will be held on the anniversary of the day he started the business in 1954 - the same day that the current chairman, Sir Anthony Bamford, was born.

As the venue's capacity is limited to around 1,000, those wishing to attend the service should apply in writing to Jane Staley at JCB, Rocester, ST14 5JP.
