Mechanical breakdown insurance from Reed

A new mechanical breakdown insurance scheme designed specifically for plant and machinery has been developed by Reed of Melksham, Wiltshire.

Trac Sure, to be underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance, offers protection for a range of plant and is intended to mitigate the unexpected costs of untimely breakdowns.

The policy will cover specified parts and labour charges up to £12,500 (subject to fair wear and tear, operator error and any excess). It will also cover the cost of hiring a replacement machine while repairs are being carried out, up to a maximum hire charge of £10,000 and a maximum weekly rate of £2,500.
