John Doyle Group has more than doubled its annual turnover to
£120m. Much of the growth came from its interior fit-out and
refurbishment subsidiary Ibex Interiors.
Director Stef Stefanou said last week: "Last year exceeded
expectations. Turnover rose and all our subsidiaries came forward
with excellent order books."
Ibex Interiors was Doyle's star performer, with turnover for the 12
months to 31 December 2000 jumping to £65m, nearly four times
the previous figure of £17m. Ibex logged a five-fold increase
in profit to £1.2m.
John Doyle Construction, the group's specialist concrete
contracting division, contributed a profit of £1.1m on a
turnover of £49m.
Bell Projects, a division operating in the design and build market,
suffered from tough market conditions. Following Stefanou's
decision to consolidate the company, the division notched up a
profit of £15,000.
John Doyle's fourth division, Blythewood Plant Hire, made a profit
of £80,000 on a turnover of £3m. New depots are opening
and much of the plant fleet has been replaced or refurbished.
