Site safety survey gets underway
The Construction Products Association (CPA) has started work, with
the Health & Safety Executive and the Building Research
Establishment, on its health and safety construction site survey in
a bid to identify the on-site risks associated with materials and
products.
Split into two phases, the first will concentrate mainly on the
risks associated with products during installation. The second will
concentrate more on contractors' uses and take place at sites
recommended by the Construction Confederation.
CPA industry affairs director John Tebbit said: "The information
this survey will provide is vital for the future development of
construction products and the way in which they are delivered on
site."
