Holyrood project has 11,400 defects

Bovis is working to rectify 11,400 defects on its £420m Holyrood parliament building project in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The construction manager for the project, which opened in the autumn three years behind schedule and £380m over budget, expects to complete the work by April.

A Holyrood spokesman said some of the "snagging items" which need to be finished off are as small as scratches and sticking out nails.

He added that resolving the problems would not involve any extra costs.
