Two school projects up for grabs

Contractors are being invited to pitch for two conventionally funded education projects at sites in Poole, Dorest and West Drayton, Middlesex.

The £17m West Drayton project involves construction of a new two-storey and part three-storey city academy for client Evelyns Community Academy.

Work also includes provision of playing fields and demolition of the existing buildings on the existing Evelyns School site at Yiewsley, West Drayton.

Contractors need to register interest in the project with architect Abbey Holford Rowe in London, by 30 May 2002.

The Poole scheme for the borough council involves a single stage, design and build, lump sum tender for the construction of a 2,000m2 school and 1,300m2 sports hall.
