Consortium sought for £25m Kent hospital

Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley Primary Care Trust is looking for a consortium to design, build, finance and operate a new £25m hospital at its Gravesend and North Kent Hospital site.

Support services which must be provided under the deal include equipment for health and social care services comprising a minor injuries unit, radiography, outpatients, phlebotomy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, recuperative care beds, respite, care beds, nursing home beds, residential beds, social services day centre and a joint carers development centre.

The scheme will also include the possibility of commercial retail outlets such as a pharmacy.

The contract will run for 30 years. The trust is giving firms until 14 June to declare an interest in the scheme.

An open day will be held on 28 May.
