Neuson aims for full line supplying

Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen says it wants to be a full line supplier of compact construction equipment and be the European market leader in that sector.

The group builds 6,500 units, including Neuson excavators (1.5t to 12t) KramerAllrad wheel loaders (up to 61kW) and Lifton site dumpers (850kg to 6t).

In the US its products are branded and distributed by Gehl. When CJ asked if Neuson Kramer would distribute the Gehl skid steer in Europe, Gnther Steinbrecher, NK Lifton's chairman, said: "Ask me again in a year."

He said the company will redesign its site dumper range by the end of the year and is considering building 2.5t tracked dumpers as well as 8t and 12t wheeled excavators.

In the UK, the group rates itself as fifth or sixth in the 1.5t to 12t excavator league, joint third in the site dumper market and the leading supplier of sub 60kW wheel loaders. It is looking to extend its current 35 UK dealer network to give nationwide coverage.
