The benefits of construction best practice are set to be spread
worldwide, as Construction Best Practice Programme (CBPP) director
Brian Moone has accepted an offer to talk on the subject at a
three-day conference in South Africa.
The results of the CBPP's second impact assessment report so
impressed the South African Construction Industry Development Board
that it invited Moone to speak at its conference later this year.
an increased turnover of £132m, while contractors have shaved
as much as a third off work phase time and reported a 40% rise in
work per day by signing up to its Construction Lean Improvement
Programme.
The results the Construction/Engineering for Africa conference in
Johannesburg from 30 September to 2 October.
Moone's talk will focus on implementing project sustainability;
safety in the building environment; and how to introduce
environmentally friendly practices.
He stressed the trip is being paid for by the South Africans and
not the CBPP itself.
