JLG launches new telehandlers
JLG, the US access platform manufacturer, has launched a range of
telehandlers designed and CE-certified specifically for the
European market.
The 3500 and 4000 series consists of 10 machines with 3.5t and 4t
capacities and lift heights of 7m, 8m, 9m, 12m and 13m. The launch
follows the acquisition in January of a design originally developed
by German manufacturer Weyhausen.
Most machines come with 63kW Perkins diesel engines, while the
largest two models have a 74.5kW Perkins unit. All use three gear
hydrostatic drive giving four wheel drive and a top speed of 25km/h
(15mph). All machines will be road legal and, at the push of a
button, two wheel, four wheel and crab steering can be selected.
Options include a four-speed turbo-diesel version with a top speed
of 40km/h (25mph), frame levelling (standard on some machines) and
stabilisers.
