Bids needed for NHS job

Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking contractors for a £21m expansion programme planned at Southampton General.

The Trust wants to expand its cardiac revascularisation service by adding more space to the hospital's north-side block.

A two-stage tender competition will kick off in September for a start date in April 2003. Completion is scheduled for December 2004.

Space for a 28-bed ward, 16-bed intensive care unit, five catheter rooms and alterations to the radiology department is required.
