SED 2001 in fourth place
SED 2001 has been ranked fourth in a list of the top 100 trade and
public exhibitions by Bulletin 100 magazine. Among trade shows, SED
was ranked second - only the Spring Fair Birmingham (giftware and
jewellery show) scored higher.
The analysis looked at over 2,000 exhibitions held in 2001 and
ranked them using a formula derived from the stand space sold and
the number of visitors. "This independent research proves the
quality of SED and in 2002 we had over 14% more visitors," said
exhibition director Mark Bresnahan.
Other exhibitions making the top 100 were the CV Show (17), IOG
Saltex (19) and the Institute of Waste Management (24).
l The first Concrete Show at SED attracted almost 3,000 specialist
visitors - a 30% increase over its previous stand-alone event at
Wembley in 1999.
