RG Group revamp puts clients first

RG Group, formerly RGCM, is to increase its focus on major clients with the appointment of key account managers.

The name change, effective from 1 August, is the result of a relaunch of the brand and a restructuring of the company. It follows a year-long business review "to assess the needs of our clients and the direction the industry is taking".

The restructuring includes the appointment of several associates and key account managers to provide customers, which include Sainsbury's, Morley Fund Management and Ikea, with a single point of contact.

RG Group managing director John Chadwick said: "Client relationships are important to the successful running of any business and at RG Group our core objectives are to build on existing client relations as well as creating new opportunities."

RG Group operates through four divisions: RG Retail; RG Commercial; RG Distribution; and RG Consult. The company employs 135 staff and posted a 2001 turnover of £180m.
