REFURBISHMENT OF BURY INTERCHANGE ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced main contractors who wish to be included on a select list for the above project.
The scheme will comprise the application of new internal wall, floor and ceiling finishes, together with significant mechanical and electrical, plumbing and structural modification works.
The current estimated cost of the works is anticipated to be in the region of £100,000 with tenders expected to be sought in September 2002. The contract will be a fixed price contract under an appropriate JCT Form of Contract, amended to incorporate GMPTE's requirements.
Applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake the above works in their expression of interest, which must include details of similar sized contracts undertaken recently. In addition contractors applying must provide the following information with their submission:-
a. The names and addresses of three technical referees who are able to provide a reference of the applicant's competence in relation to this type of work. Details of particular projects undertaken by the applicant should form a part of these references.
b. A copy of the Company's latest audited accounts, which should not be more than eighteen months old.
c. The name and address of the Company's bankers.
d. Confirmation that the Company is insured for Public Liability of at least £5,000,000.
e. A copy of the Company's Construction Industry Tax Deduction Certificate.
f. Evidence of having acted in the role of Principal Contractor under the 1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes.
g. Details of the Company's Quality Assurance procedures.
