Tadano Faun hits new heights with SuperDeck
Tadano Faun's new SuperDeck platform combines a large deck area
with a self-propelled boom.
While there are other machines with deck areas of 8m2, these are
usually scissor lifts, whereas the SuperDeck's boom has an outreach
of up to 12.5m and can be specified in either a wheeled (4x4x2) or
tracked configuration.
There are two models with 16m or 21m working heights and both have
a 1t carrying capacity, 360û of slewing on both the platform
and boom and 40% gradeability.
Control is via a one-lever operation, said by the UK importer
Promax Access to combine the convenience and productivity of a
scissor lift with the manoeuvrability of a boom.
The machine has a no-jolt smooth stop/start operation and a 'four
way' motion control that automatically maintains a parallel
position in vertical and horizontal planes.
In addition, there is an audible voice warning system to alert the
operator to any impending breach of safety.
