CECA's Maurice Webb retires
Maurice Webb has retired as Civil Engineering Contractors
Association (Southern) executive director. Webb is known as an
industry campaigner who has lobbied tirelessly on behalf of members
during his six years at the association.
Webb was previously a director of the former Federation of Civil
Engineering Contractors and before that played a pivotal role in
the implementation of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's
plans to redevelop the Docklands area of London.
Brian Everard will take Webb's place as executive director at CECA
(Southern). Everard was a director at Geoffrey Osborne for 22
years. He was CECA (Southern) chairman for two years between 2000
and 2002, representing CECA in discussions with Railtrack and other
major clients.
