Thales Telematics named as supplier for the Hire Alliance

Thales Telematics has been named as a preferred supplier of fleet management and security technology solutions by the Hire Alliance. The company's Orchid fleet management solution is said to offer improved operating efficiencies as well as minimising unauthorised, or out-of-hours, use and protecting equipment from thieves.

The Hire Alliance is a buying group representing over 1,000 independent hire companies and whose members are able to buy plant and tools at preferential prices. In many cases, these arrangements allow members to deal direct with manufacturers, cutting out the intermediaries.

Edward Belgeonne, chief executive of Thales Telematics, said: "We are delighted that we have been appointed as a preferred supplier to The Hire Alliance and been given the opportunity to support independent operators within the plant and tool hire industry."
