'Indestructible' Elastic tyre

LuK has introduced 'Elastic Air' tyres for skid steer loaders.
Elastic Air is said to combine the benefits of pneumatic tyres with
the long life of solid tyres in an almost indestructible unit.
The new two-compound solid rubber tyre incorporates patented deformable holes through the sidewall.
A hardwearing outer rubber compound is said to resist cuts and abrasions, providing up to 50% longer wear life than standard products. The softer inner compound provides shock absorption, while embedded steel cords provide high tensile reinforcement.
The company said the overall result is a tyre with an exceptionally long service life even under arduous conditions, the elimination of punctures and an unrivalled level of comfort for the operator.
Elastic Air tyres can be fitted to any existing skid steer loader and are said not to impose speed or terrain restrictions.
