Written applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors, wishing to be considered for inclusion on the select list of tenderers for the following project.

VEHICLE SAFETY FENCING REPAIR/REPLACEMENT 2003

Applicants will have a proven history of the installation of Untensioned Corrugated Beams to BS 7669.

The works comprise of the repair, replacement and installation of approximately 1200m of UCB and approximately 800 replacement posts at various locations within the city of Plymouth. All materials specified will be in accordance with the latest Specification for Highway Works. Series 400.

The issue of tender documents is programmed for 13 January 2003 and the tender period will be two weeks. The anticipated commencement date on site is set for 24 February 2003.

Applicants must have the necessary resources and expertise to act as a Principal Contractor in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, 1994.
