Belle Group restructures to streamline facilities

The Belle Group, manufacturer of light construction equipment, has announced a major restructuring programme in a bid to streamline its production facilities.

The company has initiated a consultation period during which it will consider options such as closing its Chesterfield plant and moving assembly lines.

Marketing manager Gemma Sharpe said: "No decisions have been made yet, but there is a legal obligation on us to enter a consultation period even if we decide to keep things as they are. Sales volume has increased massively this year, but we fully recognise the need to plan for future growth of the business."
