King Vehicle Engineering has relocated its SkyKing Equipment and
Trailroad Vehicle Equipment divisions into a new, shared facility
in Corby, Northamptonshire.
The two divisions will be merged and renamed King Highway Products. Mike Dougan, who headed up Trailroad, will be the director of the new group.
The new facility provides King Highway Products with access to a manufacturing capacity up by 50% compared to the two previous individual sites.
"Both of these divisions were expanding fast, particularly over the past year. Business is booming and our order books are full. The move into larger premises was a natural progression," said Dougan.
King purchased Trailroad last year, while SkyKing is the group's in-house manufacturer of vehicle mounted access platforms.
