New nail from ITW
A new nail with 100% better corrosion protection has been introduced by ITW Construction Products. Galv-Plus* nails contain 5% aluminium and have 100g of zinc/m2, compared with 45g of zinc/m2 for the previous finish.
Electrical site helmet
The Linesman Helmet for Electrical Site Work has been designed by Oxford-based JSP specifically for electrical contractors. Manufactured from High Density Polyethylene, the helmet offers electrical insulation.
Haki temporary roofs
The Hakitec 750 beam from Haki can enable large-scale temporary roofs to be built more quickly and safely. It can be erected in situ, and at height without the need for cranes.
Grey Book update
The Institution of Structural Engineers has produced a new edition of the Manual for the design of steelwork building structures. The Grey Book, as it is better known, takes into account changes to BS 5950: Part 1.
