Call for £100m Belfast sewer management job
A deal to project manage a £100m upgrading of Belfast's sewer
system is up for grabs.
The Department for Regional Development in Northern Ireland is
calling for firms to prequalify for the deal by 15 January
2003.
The scheme includes upgrading 15km of sewers, constructing 10.4km
of tunnels, building pumping stations, plus extensive repair
projects.
According to MPM Capita, the local project manager handling the
scheme for the government, the plan is to cut a longlist of eight
down to a shortlist of four groups to pitch for the
undertaking.
The winner will emerge in April 2003, with work on site starting in
September 2004.
