MoD advertises South East Prime Contract

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has advertised the South East Regional Prime Contract, estimated to be worth £550m.

The contract to provide planned and unplanned maintenance and core works will cover more than 150 sites in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Hampshire, Greater London, Oxfordshire, Surrey and East and West Sussex, and is expected to run for an initial seven-year period, with options for extension up to 10 years.

Integrated project team leader Mike Pearson said: "We are the third region to reach this milestone in the government's initiative to use Prime Contracting for the delivery of service to the MoD Estate. The South East Regional Prime Contract Integrated Project Team has applied lessons learnt from previous prime contracts for this stage of the procurement and will continue to apply them for the remaining stages."
