APPROVED LIST OF TENDERERS FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE 2003-2006
The Merseyside Passenger Transport Authority invite suitably qualified contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on a select list for the landscaping maintenance of the Tunnels and approach roads within the jurisdiction of the Authority.
The work will include the following operations:
a) Highway weed control;
b) Building weed control;
c) Tree surgery;
d) Mechanical mowing of verge areas;
e) Hard Landscaping works;
f) Landscaping improvement works;
g) Embankment clearing.
Interested Contractors are requested to submit their application in writing for inclusion on an approved list, to the following address, to be received no later than 16.00 hrs on 31st January 2003, quoting reference "LAND2003".

Applications must be accompanied by the following information:
a) Copies of audited accounts for the proposed contracting company and
any parent company for the past three years;
b) Details of similar work undertaken over the past three years;
c) An indication of the technical expertise;
d) An indication of the equipment available;
e) Financial and technical references;
f) Management structure of the company including the number of managerial staff;
g) Description of measures for ensuring the quality of service provided;
h) Health and Safety Policy and Resources;
i) Details of current and valid insurance cover.
The award criteria shall be the most economically advantageous offer which represents best value for money having regard for economic and financial standing, ability, technical standing, ability to meet the service requirements, continuity, quality management and health and safety standards.
