Select List of Contractors for Historic Park Restoration

The Council wishes to compile a list of suitably experienced contractors with a proven track record of works in historic
parks and landscapes to tender for the £1.5M restoration of the English Heritage listed Dunorlan Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells. A 19th century pleasure grounds and park laid out by Robert Marnock, Dunorlan Park contains a boating lake, fountains, waterfalls and terraces, all of which are included in the Restoration Plan prepared with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is of the utmost importance to the Borough Council and the residents of Tunbridge Wells and a high standard of project management and construction will be required. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is looking for a Contractor who can deliver this high quality, unique project within a 12 month programme beginning summer 2003, on budget and on time. The contract will be under English Law; a Performance Bond of 10% will be required.
