UCATT restructures

UCATT has reorganised its regional structure.

It is looking to buy premises in Bury St Edmunds to house its newly created Eastern region. This is headed by Brian Rye, the former London regional organiser.

A new North East region has also been created. This is based in Newcastle and the regional secretary is John Scott, previously a North East regional organiser. The old North East region, centred in Leeds, now becomes the Yorkshire region.

A third appointment sees Nick Blundell become secretary of a merged South West and Wales region.
