WSP launches environmental risk solution

Consulting group WSP has launched an environmental risk solution called Active Transfer.

Clients will pay up-front to transfer the burden of liability so that they are not at risk of future potential environmental problems.

WSP Environmental managing director Stuart McLachlan said: "We have watched this product expand rapidly in the US over the past seven years, and we now propose to introduce it throughout Europe.

"The concept has met with big interest and we see it as generating a significant income stream for the group going forward.

"WSP has put its US focus on building up a base in the New York area, and clients there have been offered a product from TRC - known as Exit Strategy - for some time. We have formed an alliance with TRC."
