Birse Logistics wins £9m design and construct deal in Barking

Birse Logistics has been awarded a £9m contract by ProLogis Developments for the design and construction of an industrial production unit in Essex.

The project in Barking will involve the demolition of existing buildings, as well as the removal and crushing for reuse of hard standings. 

The new single-storey warehouse/production unit will have a gross internal area of some 24,000 sq m with a clear height to haunch of 12m.

The construction of a two-storey office of 1250 sq m and all associated external works, drainage and landscaping are also part of the deal.
