SELECT LIST OF CONTRACTORS
2003 - 2006
Suitably qualified and experienced contractors are invited to apply for
inclusion on the Council's Select List of Contractors for the following two
categories of work:
1 General civil engineering contracts up to £400,000 (but typically
up to £100,000) in value.
2 General building contracts up to £400,000 (but typically up to
£50,000) in value.
Interested contractors should apply in writing to the address below,
indicating which category of work they are interested in.
The following information should be included with applications:
1 Full name and address of the company wishing to be considered for
approval.
2 Full name and address of any parent or subsidiary company.
3 Statements of annual turnover for the last three years.
4 Details of relevant work carried out in the last three years.
5 Names and addresses of two technical referees.
6 A copy of the company's safety policy.
Applications should be sent to The Engineering Manager, West Dorset
District Council, at the address below.
Twenty successful applicants in each category will be held on a Select List
and invited to tender for individual contracts as required. The closing
date for applications is 7th March 2003. Any queries relating to this
