The London Borough of Barnet invites expressions of interest
from suitably qualified Contractors to undertake its routine
mechanical and electrical maintenance in its non-housing
buildings and participating schools for the three years
commencing July 2003.
The work will comprise cyclic maintenance such as boiler
servicing, kitchen equipment servicing, water treatment and
monitoring, fire alarm and emergency lighting checks and
electrical installation inspections together with responsive
maintenance with a target times of a maximum of two hours to
emergency situations and next day for the remainder. Some
planned works are also undertaken.
The Contract will be let separately into two areas. Contractors
should be able to carry out both mechanical and electrical with
one trade contractors also being considered. All mechanical
operatives must have relevant current ACS certificates and
Electrical Contractors must be members of NICEIC.
Applicants will be required to complete a pre-tender
questionnaire giving details of the company (ies) profile. This
will be used as part of the evaluation process from which an
invitation to tender list will be produced. Information regarding
financial standing, references etc will be requested as part of
this questionnaire.
Please note that failure to provide any information requested as
part of the questionnaire may invalidate your application.
Expressions of interest must be received no later than 12.00hrs
on the 14th March 2003 and must be made either in writing,
clearly quoting the contract reference number 3841 to:
