Two more NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) PPP projects are up for grabs - the £50m St Helens, Knowsley, Halton and Warrington LIFT and the £90m Tees Valley and South Durham LIFT.
The St Helens LIFT is led by St Helens Primary Care Trust , which aims to let £22m worth of work in the first five-year period. The total capital value is estimated to be around £50m over the full concession period.
The Tees Valley LIFT is being spearheaded by Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust. Some £25m is earmarked for the initial five-year tranche of work, rising to a total of £90m all told over the life of the contract.
Private consortia need to register their interest in the schemes by 10 April for St Helens and by 11 April for Tees Valley.
The two new LIFT schemes bring the total number of projects out to tender in tranche three to 20. A further four schemes are still to be advertised. Only the Bristol LIFT has selected a shortlist of bidders as yet.
All 12 schemes in tranche two have been advertised. Nine of these have selected a shortlist. All six schemes in tranche one are out to tender - two have reached the preferred bidder stage.
