Powerscreen has introduced a range of new products for the
aggregates and recycling industries. Its entire Commander range of
washing and screening units is being replaced with the Commander
1400.
The Commander 1400 allows users to customise the machine to a
single end product, including adjusting the free-floating vibration
system by radio-controlled double acting tipping rams. The machine
has a 15-minute set-up time and can process sand and gravel,
topsoil, crushed stone and general construction waste at up to
500t/hr.
The Warrior 1400 will be launched at SED. It, and the bigger
Warrior 1800, are high capacity, track mounted machines capable of
screening, three-way splitting and stockpiling of materials from
face blasted rock to topsoil.
The Warrior 1400 weighs 25t and has an optimum output of 400t/hr,
while the 1800 is heavier at 30t and has a capacity of 500t/hr.
Both have a set-up time of less than 15 minutes.
Powerscreen says its latest 20x6 static screen can be used as a
stand-alone unit or as part of a washing plant. It is available in
two- or three-deck configuration with screen area of 11.15m2 per
deck (interchangeable meshes) and a 6m by 1.8m two-bearing
screenbox.
The Powerscrub consists of a trough and two counter-rotating axles,
which mix the incoming material while milling and washing at the
same time to destroy any lumps of earth and clay.
Notable features include low water consumption, a rounded hull
design to reduce build-up and fresh water flushed lower bearings.
It has an output of up to 120t/hr and, while aimed at the recycling
industry, it can also process gravel.
The new Water Separator takes this further by removing lightweight
contaminants from construction and demolition waste without a
wastewater flow. Floating light materials are removed by a brush
surface conveying system, and heavy material is handled by a
submerged conveyor.
