REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
PROVISION OF NEW SLIPWAY FACILITIES
LYME REGIS HARBOUR, DORSET
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced
contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on a select list of
companies who will be invited to tender for the above facilities.
The works briefly comprise 2,400 sq m of floating and suspended reinforced
concrete slab, 160 sq m reinforced concrete retaining walls, 90m of dwarf
perimeter wall, approved natural stone facing, setts and other finishes and
some drainage.
It is anticipated that the tender process will begin in May 2003, with
construction commencing in October 2003.
Applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake the above works in
their expressions of interest, which must include details of contracts of
similar size and nature undertaken in the last three years, particularly in
respect to inter-tidal working. In addition, contractors applying must
provide the following information with their submissions:
1. The names and addresses of three technical referees who are able to
provide a reference of the applicant's competence in relation to this type
of work. Details of particular projects undertaken by the applicant should
form part of these references.
2. A copy of the Company's latest audited accounts, which should not
be more than 18 months old.
3. The name and address of the Company's bankers.
4. Confirmation that the Company is insured for Public Liability of at
least £5,000,000.
5. Evidence of having acted in the role of Principal Contractor under
the 1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes.
Interested contractors should apply in writing by Friday 11th April 2003
