HIGHWAY GULLY CLEANSING
Applications are invited from suitably experienced contractors to
tender
for the above contract.
Highway Gully Cleansing includes the cleansing of 25,000 gullies on
725
kilometres of the Borough's highway network. The service will
include a
stand-by service to attend to incidents of flooding within preset
times.
It is anticipated that the contract will commence in October 2003
for three
years with an option to extend for a further year.

A hard copy of the expression must be
received no later than the closing date.
Qualifications: Expressions of interest must include the
following
documentation:
* Certificate of enrolment on the professional or trade register
under the
conditions laid down by the laws of the Member State in which he
is
established, for instance on the Register of Companies in the
United
Kingdom and Ireland or declaration on oath or solemn
declaration.
* Appropriate statements from bankers.
* Presentation of the undertaking's balance sheets or extracts from
balance
sheets.
* Statement of the firm's overall turnover and the turnover in
respect of
the goods to which the contract relates for the three previous
financial
years.
* List of the principal deliveries effected in the past three
years, with
sums, dates and recipients, public or private, involved.
* Applicants will be expected to complete a pre-qualification
questionnaire
- PQQ, this will be used as part of the evaluation process from
which an
invitation to tender list will be produced.
Failure to provide any of the above information may invalidate
your
application.

Expressions of interest: 12:00 noon Thursday 1st May 2003.
The return of completed PQQ: 12:00 noon 16th May 2003.
