Plant inspection service launched

Independent Scottish insurance broker, The JW Group, has introduced an inspection service that checks plant conforms to the appropriate regulations and requirements.

The inspectors work throughout the UK, are said to be multi-disciplined and can examine different types of equipment on a single visit.

"Companies have a legal duty to ensure that their equipment is operating safely and efficiently through regular inspections," said JW Group managing director Ken Davie.

His inspectors check conformity to Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), Lifting Operations and lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), the Electricity at Work Regulations (EAWR) and the pressure systems safety regulations.
