Interior fit-out specialist Spectrum has moved into retail and is forging into Europe.
Spectrum Retail has been set up after some success last year, winning jobs for high-end, bespoke retailers in the West End. The new division is led by Andrew Mullett from E&F Shopfitters.
"Andrew's building his team and pitching for major work in Oxford Circus," a Spectrum spokesman said. "We will move into high street fit-out in the future."
The European division will operate in France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium. It is being led by Gary Mills from Structuretone and will target all sectors for work.
The division is on the shortlist for a £20.5m hotel project management deal in Spain.
The spokesman said the retail and European expansion will help Spectrum to grow while the UK market remains tight: "We've been dependent on the UK and London fit-out markets and want to flatten the peaks and troughs."
Spectrum won £30m of new business in the first quarter of this year, and is also looking to expand further into leisure, healthcare and education.
