Bus infrastructure maintenance contract - Merseyside Passenger Transport Authority


MERSEYSIDE PASSENGER TRANSPORT AUTHORITY
BUS INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
Applications are invited from suitably experienced service providers
wishing to be considered for inclusion on the Executive's select tender
lists to provide for the comprehensive maintenance of approximately 6,100
bus stop locations including 2,100 passenger shelters owned by the
Executive within the Merseyside area. The number of shelters is expected to
increase by approximately 50% during the lifetime of this contract, subject
to the availability of funding.
The Executive anticipates that the provision of the maintenance service
will be required from 19 January 2004, for a period of four years. This may

be extended for a further two years, at the absolute discretion of the
Executive and subject to satisfactory performance of the contractor and
circumstances prevailing at that time.
Service providers should note that the Executive may divide the contrct
into lots to suit the Executive's requirements.
Interested service providers are requested to submit their application in
writing and supply the following information to enable the evaluation of
the expressions of interest:
Annual Report and Accounts for the most recently completed financial year
together with details of total turnover and turnover in respect of
maintenance contracts (particularly of bus infrastructure) for the previous
three financial years.
Brief Company Profile including Management Structure, current number of
employees and ability to sustain an appropriate level of deployment of
resources.
Brief statement describing the Company's business and customer service
objectives.
List of maintenance contracts provided within the last three years
including a brief description of the service provided, contract values,
dates and recipients (public of private).
Statement of tools, plant and equipment available for carrying out the
contract.
Names and addresses of five referees from whom references may be sought.
Copy of service provider's current health and safety policy.
Name and addresses of service provider's bankers.
Details of membership of trade/professional bodies and/or quality
management system accreditation.
