VMtechnology to cut vibration white finger
Newmatic is launching a road breaker at SED this week that it
claims can dramatically reduce the risk of contracting vibration
white finger.
Measured on a vertical axis (according to ISO 8662-Part5), the
VM25-40 pneumatic breaker has a vibration level of less than
1.5m/s2.
The company says the patented VMtechnology employed in the VM25-40
gives the lowest vibration levels on the market and increases the
safe operating period by up to four times. This technology is said
to enable the mass of the VM25-40 to increase and decrease rapidly
between 25kg and 40kg, which makes it possible to combine the
manoeuvrability of a medium-weight with the performance of a
heavy-duty breaker.
For light-duty jobs requiring low power and mass, the VM25-40
setting can be adjusted accordingly.
The power output is automatically reduced (and therefore the
vibration exposure) if the breaker is lifted without releasing the
trigger.
