Quick sale of AMH Contract Services saves 2000 jobs

Two thousand jobs have been saved after BDO Stoy Hayward manage to sell the business and assets of construction recruitment specialist AMH Contract Services Limited and Ingham Associates (UK) Limited (part of AMH Holdings Group) in just four days.

Meridian Business Support Limited bought the companies for an undisclosed after they went into receivership on 16 April.

Dermot Power, joint administrative receiver of BDO Stoy Hayward, said: "The ability to turn this deal around in four days ensured AMH's contracts could be kept in place which was key to the sale of the company. The swift sale also safeguarded the jobs of 2000 temporary workers across the county and ensured their wages were paid for the week ending 18 April."

Mark Mitchell, group managing director of Meridian said: "We are working hard to ensure it is business as usual."

AMH Group had a turnover of £40m with branches in Leamington Spa (Headquarters), Manchester, Bristol, London, Crawley and
Birmingham.
