Expressions of interest are invited from companies wishing to tender for
the following Civil Engineering Works associated with the Doncaster
Waterfront Development:
The Doncaster Waterfront Development is a mixed use redevelopment proposal
on brownfield land in the vicinity of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire
Navigation Canal and the newly completed St Georges Bridge, some 0.5km from
Doncaster Town Centre.
The scope of the works to be undertaken comprise site reclamation works to
remove contamination and physical obstructions from development site plots,
infilling of a redundant section of canal and the construction of a Marina
Basin within the Doncaster Waterfront Site.

The Form of Contract to be utilised will be the New Engineering Contract
and will include and require the principles of a Partnering Agreement to be
followed by both parties.
The Award of the Contract will be subject to the satisfactory receipt of
grant monies from funding bodies and as such the council reserves the right
to withdraw from the process should funding not be received or secured in
full.

available from the above address. The deadline for return of
thePre-qualification questionnaire is 12 noon on the 2nd June 2003.
