Hitachis for GSE Plant
HM Plant has struck a deal for the sale of 15 Hitachi excavators to plant hire firm GSE Plant. The deal is for a ZX210LC, two ZX130LC, ZX70LC and EX50U machines and four each of the EX45-2 and EX30-2 models.

Malcolm goes for JCBs
Scottish logistics and construction firm the Malcolm Group has purchased 24 JCB 3CX Sitemaster backhoes in a deal worth nearly £1m. The machines will be used in the firm's plant hire business.

Case signs CJ Leonard
CJ Leonard of Guisborough has taken on the Case franchise for Teesside and Darlington. "There was a change in our customers' needs, with more looking to buy new machines," said managing director Michael Leonard.

Platform buys Genie
The Platform Company has purchased 100 booms from Genie in the past two months, as well as placing further orders for the new Genie Z-80/60 and GS-5390 big deck scissors at SED.

New owner for Hughes
Bristol-based Hydrex has purchased Hughes Rail of Fareham, Hampshire. Hughes has an extensive fleet of road-rail excavators and construction machines.
